Arriving in Long Beach in 1990 from Asheville, North Carolina as a pre-teen I was submerged in diverse culture, the unity, and resilience of the Black and Brown communities; the Area Codes - Classic LBC design honors the separation from Los Angeles area code 213 (1997) to our very own are area code 562. This piece reflects pride in all neighborhoods from the Westside to Belmont Shore. Standing firm in our roots and history.
